An author I respect has said, "You are what you love." Here are some things I love:

a good book (and sometimes, a mediocre book)
sun + the ocean (together or separate)
cookbooks with drool-inducing photography
just about any sort of cooking/baking
bourbon on the rocks
a challenge
maps, globes, and atlases
travel
coming home
the smell of leather
the smell of a baby's head (any baby will do)
compulsorily making amazon wishlists
music, music, music (mostly classical and obnoxious top 40)
restoring old things to their former beauty
being alone in the woods (during the day)
my home, full of people
